Week 17

Notes

I planned to teach the move: Trade. Since we were missing a few of our new dancers this week, I decided to postpone such an important move as Trade until next week when will we hopefully have more dancers.

Moves this week - Feb 6

Wheel Around

Wheel Around is one of a number of "WHEELING" action moves that we we will learn in the upcoming months. See side bar.

In Wheel Around, the Left Hand Dancer (usually the Boy) backs up while the other dancer moves forward. The pivot point is the handhold between the two. You end up facing the opposite direction as a couple.

This move is used a lot by callers to get out of trouble when they notice that dancers are out of sequence when promenading home
