Week 12

Notes

Wow! What great support. Danced 5 squares tonight. Thanks to all our angels (and to whoever stirred the Angel Pot).

Moves this week - Dec 5

Walk around the Corner
Start: Static Square or Circle;
End: Facing Partner
Timing: 8 beats;
The key to this move is to
a) think Corner and Right Shoulders, and
b) keep eye contact as you walk around each other. This ensures that you are always facing in the correct direction for the next move (see choreo below).

Turn to face your corner (if needed). Walk forward until your right shoulders are almost touching. Establish eye contact (flirt a bit if you care to), walk forward around each other maintaining shoulder and eye contact, step forward to end facing your partner (and back to back wiith your corner), ready for the next move..

See Saw
Start: Static Square or Circle;
End: Facing Corner
Timing: 8 beats;
Same previous move except you face your partner (if necessary) and use LEFT shoulders to walk around each other.
End: facing corner

DoPaso
Start: Squared Set, Circle, other formations
End: Variious, commonly a Circle
Timing: 12 beats;
This is a 3-part move:
1. Left Arm Turn with partner until facing corner, release armhold, step ahead.
2. Right Arm Turn with corner until facing partner, release armhold, step ahead.
3. If there is no further instruction, Courtesy Turn partner to end facing the center of the set. Otherwise, follow the next instruction, which will start with a Left Arm Turn with Partner.
