Notes
Another good session, perhaps 20 minutes or so, before the night officially started. Ended up doing the pre-night review with 2 squares

California Twirl
Start: A Couple
End: A Couple
Timing: 4 beats
Dancers raise joined hands to form an arch -- loose handhold. Man walks to the right in a wide semi-circle around the lady while the lady turns left ("twirls") under the arch. Dancers exchange places, passing right shoulders. Ends as a couple with both facing in the opposite direction. Same result as doing a Courtesy Turn. It helps if you move the joined hands backward a bit while making the arch; this gives a slight turning motion towards each other to help with the turn.
Dive Thru
Start: Facing Couples
Centers (or designated couple) make an arch and walk over the other dancers who are "diving" under the arch. Using the arched handhold, those now facing out do a California Twirl to face back in. In most cases this has both couples facing the center of the square (ready for a double pass thru).
